25 years ASE Certified

I worked as an automobile technician (mechanic) while I was going to school and for periods after. It is hard work that involves a lot of complex thinking, as well as physical strength and dexterity. During my employment as a professional auto mechanic, I obtained Master Automobile Technician status through ASE. The process requires passing a series of eight tests, each in a different automobile subsystem.

I’ve maintained the certification over the years. The five year recertification process for each subsystem helps to keep me sharp on automobile technology and repair when I’m not working on cars on a daily basis.

This medallion showed up in the mail yesterday. It’s a metallic and has a magnet for display on your toolbox. I think it is a nice token from ASE for continued support as well as something that can be displayed to show your continued commitment to providing competent service.
